Architectural illustrations
As a data scientist and artist, every year I complete a series of 20-30 illustrations and data visualizations on topics that touch me.
2020 marks the beginning of a new pace with the pandemic, while lockdown and the closures of businesses impacted our daily lives, it also gave us a lot of time to think and observe. The series "Ville de cœur - cœur de ville" (City of my heart - center of the city) is the result of those confined days in "slow living" mode in rural France: they are 20 freehand architectural drawings through the eyes of a foreign cosmopolitan.
2021 was a year of change: the end of my doctoral contract - 5 years in the Netherlands, followed by the 26th move to Lot-et-Garonne. Restricted by closed borders, nostalgia reminded me of all the nations where I lived, the series “Habit-nation” was born. It includes thirty drawings of unique houses, iconic structures (like the UN or the World Bank), and historic universities (including ITC) linked to my work and studies in 17 cities, 8 countries, and on 4 continents.
