The Tower of Babel is a biblical painting by Pieter Bruegel the Elder is the main theme of the Babel, old master back from Japan exhibition at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. While the story of The towel of Babel is interesting, Bruegel himself is the one that immortalized it in arts. The artist is influential for his Renaissance paintings of peasant life in his early works, and even more famous for his prints, produced in Antwerp by the Hieronymus Cock publisher.
